Man plumbing issues are no joke and I literally feel like I won the lottery with Elite Rooter. I went through all the feelings of how much is this gonna cost me? Where am I gonna take a shit? My daughter doesn’t like public restrooms where is she gonna take a shit? Who gonna do the job right and not rip me off? Who can I trust?God works in mysterious ways and he sent me Aaron from Elite Rooter. This dude came out and immediately made me feel at ease. He busted out the heavy duty plunger and reassured me they would get to the problem. When that didn’t work, they sent down the camera and diagnosed the issue as likely being a root problem.I’ve heard of jobs like this costing as much as it would to buy a new car. But because these men appeared genuine my wife and I said “let’s do it.”I couldn’t ask for more with Aaron, Jerome, and Omar. These dudes are the nicest, coolest, most hard working plumbing technicians you will ever meet. They dug, cut, reinstated, back filled all in a super professional manner. Their work was so clean, the average person would not even be able to tell there was a huge hole in our front yard where two grown ass men were just working. On top of that, you get a 25 year warranty!!! I don’t know if any other place even offers that. The piece of mind these guys gave us is priceless. Thank you so much for all your hard work. If you have any kind of plumbing issue, call Elite Rooter stat. You will not be disappointed.

This review is a little late as I just got back from being out of the country. I have used Elite Plumbing a few times and have referred the company to friends and family. I have had success with them in the past. The issue this time was a sewer and water re-pipe. A plan was agreed upon with the project manager prior to the start of the project. From day one, there was miscommunication between the project lead and the workers which I had to continually stop and ask them to call the lead. Work was not completed per the original agreement. The completion of the project was continually delayed and for a week I was told every day it would be completed that day. The crew was late anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 ½ hours. Calls and texts went unanswered. When escalated to the manager after waiting 3 hours for an ETA, the project manager actually laughed at me because I was so mad. They previously leveled the yard and replaced the turf as close to original as possible. This time, the area was not leveled, and the turf was not tacked down. Numerous issues were escalated but eventually resolved and the invoice was paid in full within 15 minutes of receiving the final invoice. However, 2 days prior to leaving the country, I received a notice from a lien company on behalf of Elite Plumbing for an outstanding balance. I made calls to the company requesting to talk to the manager that have to date gone unanswered by the manager. The manager did have her assistant call me to let me know I did not have an outstanding balance, and this is standard procedure but could not clarify what the standard procedure was when there was no outstanding balance. I still have not received a call from the manager to my questions why my personal information was given to another company without my authorization and no breach of contract.

Elite Rooter had no problem coming to my home when I called last minute with an emergency. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. Donovan, the technician, was so polite and professional. He was at our house within 45 minutes of my call. I had waited 5 hours for Rescue Rooter to show up for a scheduled appointment, but they canceled one hour before they were due. Elite Rooter is definitely the only plumber that we will be calling for all of our plumbing needs. They are also less expensive than other plumbers that I have dealt with in the past. Elite Rooter also gave us a discount for my husband’s 20 years of military service. Elite Rooter is the best. Give them a call!

Would definitely NOT recommend this service. We called for a clogged drain, a service person was sent over (never mentioned his name and wasn’t wearing a name tag) and was incredibly rude. He tried to tell us that our garbage disposal was broken (which would cost much more to repair). Our usual plumber came later that day and confirmed that the garbage disposal was, in fact, NOT broken. If that wasn’t enough, he decided to insert himself into a private discussion with our neighbor and offered his “legal advice”. Completely inappropriate and unprofessional.

Aaron was out here within an hour of our call, he quickly assessed the situation, explained what he was doing, the things he would try to resolve the issue (clogged kitchen sink) and what the next steps would be if he saw certain things that would require more intervention than a simple snaking of the pipe. He was fast, honest, and super helpful!

Absolutely amazing service. Very knowledgeable and completely upfront about what needed to be done. Nobody wants to deal with a clogged kitchen sink but these are the guys to call when it happens. Aaron from Elite Rooter came out to my mother-in-laws to diagnose a catastrophic situation in her granny flat. Nothing in the house was draining to the sewer either, so she had to move out for a couple days. Turns out the mainline had degraded to the point of failure, causing a BAD backup. Aaron, and his co-worker Jerome jumped right on it, dug it out, replaced the old cast iron pipe, and she was back in the house in no time. I appreciate the care they took of the property, and the way they worked with the access they had. Thanks from grandma in OB!

We had something stuck on the garbage disposal gears and Steven solved it pretty quick. He was so nice and happy, I had just called a couple hours before and he came quick. Only thing I wished I knew beforehand was that they do have a minimum charge if they solve your issue ($120). I didn't have a problem with it but the person on the phone said it was free for them to come and they will give me an estimate before any work is done. So since mine was so quick he tried to fix it right there and they were able to charge less.

My experience was horrible. I called because the tenant was in a panic that her tub didn’t drain. I was given a flat price. Once the technician got there he told me it was now gonna cost me $1200!!! This company is awful. They showed up two hours early with no call. I already knew what need to be done, however the service person would not listen to me. Wanted to check under my house, wanted to take pictures for a charge. Did not want to snake my drain, wanted to charge me $1,350.00 to do a power drain wash from my roof. When I advised I did want there service and to leave they argued with me for 10 minutes. I had to call a family member for help. I had to have another plumber come the next day, did the snake and now my drains work great. I am a senior citizen and fell they were trying to me a service I did need. Would not recommend this company.

Do yourself a favor and call another plumber right now. Seriously get at least one other quote before you let Elite Rooter onsite to do any work on your property. Also, make sure you get explicit terms in writing. They make big promises and then try to get you to take out loans to cover work they said insurance would cover. Their bids are usually a third more than you’ll pay another licensed and reputable plumber. Trust me, it pays to be patient.Elite Rooter is notorious for hiring unlicensed plumbers, which is legal in California but contrary to claims on their website. However, they also hire completely untrained people and send them out into the field to work on your home. Unless you know something about plumbing and intend to sit there and watch them as they work, be very careful about hiring this company to perform anything more than a simple drain clog removal. The job they recently did at my home cost over $10k (originally priced at almost $16k) and there were so many CA code violations and erroneously installed pipes (wrong angle, too steep an angle or simply unglued pipes buried and covered with newly poured concrete) that my contractor couldn’t put our house back together without redoing the entire job. In the meantime, Elite Rooter is telling me they won’t refund my money because they gave me a discount. You do that math…Just a few photos of their shoddy work:- Vanity sink drain sticks out past where drywall should be set.- Water bottle shoved in an old tub drainpipe that was still connected to the main drain leading out of the house; this would’ve been a nightmare scenario had it backed up before we discovered it.- Uncapped pipes at dirt level with dirt filling pipe.

Elite Rooter came out to my house because I had a stopped up sink. I was thinking since it was still under warranty that it would be a free service. I was told since I had cast-iron pipe and they couldn’t find the problem after running 50 feet of camera they would have to run pipe from my kitchen sink to an outlet (approximately 14 ‘). They would have to cut up my exterior wall and they would cut up my patio to run the pipe in the ground and they would also install a pump that would cost approximately $8000. I opt for the lesser amount of $4700 not to cut up my concrete for the length of the pipe and they could run it on top of the concrete. But they cut up a Square to install a pump, placed it in the ground, covered it with board and gravel and plugged in the electrical cords (2) through the stucco wall into the socket where my garbage disposal is plugged into under the kitchen sink . The next day I turned on the switch to my garbage disposal, and it came on for one second and turned off. I thought since it was old, it probably just wore out. While installing a new garbage disposal, I heard the motor of the pump running. I thought that was strange because I haven’t been running my sink for a day because my garbage disposal was no longer working. I called Elite Rooter to let them know about the pump running. No tech was available to talk to so I requested a call back with my concern. Monday came and I had not received a call back. I called the manufacture of the pump. They told me it was a above ground pump and should not be installed in the ground, and that it should be protected from weather and typically installed under a kitchen sink or protective cabinet if it were to be outside. The cords had been plugged into the outlet incorrectly and the pump had been running 24 hours a day. I unplugged the pump cord and the floater cord and was told by the manufacturer that Elite Rooter did the installation incorrectly. Elite Rooter had my garbage disposal plugged in a piggyback, three prong plug that was part of the floater plug causing it to go out even with the new garbage disposal. Several days later someone came out from Elite Rooter told me they checked my invoice said it was ok to be installed in the ground. I let him know that I have unplugged the pump since last week I’m concerned that it could overheat and cause a fire. He uncovered the pump from the gravel and board and said they would call me later that day. No callback. It has been a full day and a half. I haven’t heard a word. But they have my money and I feel that since they have my money I am now longer a priority or concern. They will get to me when they can. I want a refund they can take their pump and I will call another plumbing company. I would not recommend Elite Rooter. They assured me that everything would be fine the day they came out to give me my estimate and collect my down payment. They said they would take care of me.

Saving Your Money With Top Plumbing Technologies

Save money with our smart plumbing technology! We use the latest tools to make your home more efficient and lower your bills, all while keeping things running smoothly.

  • How can trenchless pipe repair benefit Boise homeowners?
Trenchless pipe repair offers Boise homeowners a minimally invasive solution to sewer line issues, preserving landscaping and reducing repair time. Traditional methods often require extensive digging, disrupting yards, driveways, and gardens. Trenchless technology, however, requires only small access points, so there’s little to no impact on your property’s aesthetics. This method is faster, often completed in a single day, making it ideal for homeowners who want minimal downtime. The technology also offers a durable solution by either inserting a new pipe within the old one or bursting the damaged pipe and replacing it. Trenchless repairs are reliable and long-lasting, often extending the life of your sewer line by decades. In Boise, where landscaping can be a significant investment, trenchless repair ensures you don’t sacrifice your property’s appearance for essential plumbing maintenance, providing a cost-effective and efficient alternative to traditional pipe repair.
  • What causes frequent toilet clogs, and how can they be prevented?
Frequent toilet clogs are often caused by improper items flushed down the toilet, such as wipes, paper towels, or excessive toilet paper. Other common culprits include low-flow toilets that lack sufficient flushing power, tree roots infiltrating pipes, or plumbing vent blockages. In Boise, hard water can also lead to mineral buildup, which narrows pipes and encourages clogs. Preventing these clogs starts with using only flushable toilet paper and avoiding items like wipes or feminine products. Installing a water softener can reduce mineral deposits, while regular maintenance keeps pipes clear. For homes with low-flow toilets, upgrading to a more powerful model might also help. Regular plumbing inspections identify and address potential issues early. By following these preventive measures, you can avoid frequent clogs, maintain smooth plumbing operations, and reduce the risk of emergency repairs, keeping your toilet functioning efficiently.
  • Are there eco-friendly drain cleaning options available?
Yes, eco-friendly drain cleaning options are available and effective, allowing Boise homeowners to maintain clear pipes without harming the environment. Enzyme-based cleaners are a popular choice, as they contain natural enzymes and bacteria that break down organic matter like grease, hair, and food waste. Unlike chemical cleaners, these are safe for pipes and the environment. Another eco-friendly method is hydro jetting, which uses high-pressure water to flush out blockages without any harsh chemicals. This process is highly effective for severe clogs and cleans pipes thoroughly. Additionally, baking soda and vinegar can be a simple yet powerful solution for minor clogs. By choosing these environmentally friendly options, you protect Boise’s local ecosystem and avoid contributing to chemical buildup in wastewater systems. Eco-friendly cleaning ensures effective results while supporting sustainable practices and prolonging the lifespan of your home’s plumbing.
  • What can cause sudden leaks in pipes, and how can they be fixed?
Sudden pipe leaks can stem from several causes, including corrosion, high water pressure, joint damage, and shifting soil. In Boise, older plumbing systems are particularly susceptible to corrosion, as mineral deposits from hard water gradually erode the pipe’s interior. High water pressure can stress pipe joints and lead to leaks. Other factors, like temperature fluctuations, can cause pipes to expand and contract, loosening connections over time. Repairing leaks involves first identifying the source through professional detection methods. Small leaks might be sealed with epoxy or tightened fittings, while significant damage may require pipe replacement or relining. For high-pressure issues, a pressure regulator can be installed to prevent future leaks. Routine plumbing inspections in Boise can detect these issues early, allowing for prompt repairs that prevent further water damage and maintain your home’s plumbing integrity.
  • How often should a water heater be serviced in Boise’s climate?
In Boise’s climate, where water heaters are often in use year-round, annual servicing is recommended to maintain efficiency and extend the unit’s lifespan. Boise’s hard water can lead to mineral buildup in the tank, reducing efficiency and potentially causing damage. During a service appointment, professionals will flush the tank to remove sediment, check for leaks, and ensure the temperature and pressure settings are safe. If you have a tankless water heater, maintenance still involves descaling to prevent mineral deposits in the heating elements. Regular servicing improves energy efficiency, provides consistent hot water, and reduces the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns. For older units, frequent check-ups might be necessary. Investing in routine water heater maintenance not only ensures reliable hot water but also helps Boise homeowners avoid costly repairs or premature replacements due to mineral buildup and wear.
  • What are the benefits of a trenchless sewer repair over traditional methods?
Trenchless sewer repair provides several benefits over traditional methods, particularly in terms of time, cost, and environmental impact. Traditional repairs involve extensive digging, which disrupts yards, driveways, and landscaping, often requiring costly restoration afterward. Trenchless methods, like pipe lining and pipe bursting, require only minimal access points, preserving your property’s landscaping and reducing repair time. In most cases, trenchless repair is completed within a day, minimizing disruption to your daily routine. Additionally, trenchless methods produce less waste and use fewer resources, making them environmentally friendly. Although the initial cost may be slightly higher, the lack of extensive restoration work often makes it more affordable overall. Boise homeowners benefit from a durable, long-lasting repair that doesn’t sacrifice curb appeal. Trenchless repair ensures a fast, minimally invasive, and eco-friendly solution to sewer line issues, making it a smart investment.
  • How does professional drain cleaning improve my home’s plumbing?
Professional drain cleaning offers significant benefits for Boise homeowners, preventing backups, improving water flow, and reducing unpleasant odors. Over time, substances like grease, soap scum, hair, and food particles accumulate in pipes, narrowing them and slowing drainage. While DIY solutions may provide temporary relief, professional cleaning ensures a thorough, long-lasting solution. Our team uses methods like hydro jetting to clear clogs completely, restoring proper water flow and preventing potential blockages. Additionally, professional drain cleaning reduces bacteria buildup, which can cause foul odors and degrade pipe quality. In Boise’s hard water conditions, mineral deposits can also contribute to blockages, so regular cleaning is essential for maintaining optimal pipe function. By investing in routine professional cleaning, homeowners can avoid costly repairs, ensure a smoothly operating plumbing system, and enjoy a cleaner, more pleasant living environment.
  • Is it safe to handle minor septic system repairs myself?
While minor septic tasks, such as checking water usage and managing what goes down the drain, are manageable for Boise homeowners, most septic system repairs are best left to professionals. Septic systems are complex and contain hazardous waste, which requires specialized handling and knowledge. Attempting DIY repairs without the right equipment can result in accidental contamination, property damage, or health risks. Professionals have the expertise to identify underlying issues accurately and fix them safely. For example, a slow drain might indicate a clogged baffle or drain field issue, which requires more than a simple fix. Routine tasks like inspecting for leaks or ensuring proper drain field care can be homeowner-managed, but anything involving pumping, pipe repair, or deep cleaning should be professionally handled. Hiring experts ensures safety, efficiency, and a properly functioning septic system for years to come, protecting your home and the environment.
  • What should I consider before installing a new water heater?
Installing a new water heater involves several key considerations, from energy source and capacity to Boise-specific factors like building codes and energy efficiency. Start by deciding between gas, electric, or tankless models, depending on your home’s setup and budget. Capacity is essential; a larger family may need a tank with higher capacity or a tankless system to meet demand. Local building codes in Boise may also dictate installation requirements, so it’s wise to consult with professionals who understand local regulations. • How do I know if my drain needs professional cleaning?
Professional drain cleaning is recommended when you notice signs like slow-draining water, frequent clogs, or unpleasant odors near sinks, showers, or toilets. Over time, debris such as hair, soap scum, grease, and food particles accumulate, narrowing the pipes and slowing drainage. Home remedies may offer temporary relief but are rarely as effective as a professional cleaning. Persistent clogs, especially those affecting multiple drains simultaneously, often indicate a deeper issue that DIY methods can’t resolve. In Boise, where hard water can exacerbate buildup in pipes, regular maintenance helps prevent larger plumbing issues. We use advanced tools like hydro-jetting and drain snakes to safely and thoroughly clean your drains. Our services also include camera inspections to locate any hidden blockages or damage. Scheduling a professional cleaning ensures smooth water flow, reduces future issues, and keeps your home’s plumbing in optimal condition.

  • What methods do you use for clogged drain line repair?
We employ a range of effective methods for clogged drain line repairs in Boise. For minor clogs, we might use a professional-grade drain snake to dislodge debris quickly. In cases of tougher blockages, hydro jetting is often our go-to solution; this high-pressure water technique clears stubborn clogs, grease, and scale buildup without harming pipes. For recurring issues or clogs deep within the system, we also conduct camera inspections to pinpoint the exact location and cause, such as tree roots or collapsed pipes. Depending on the inspection results, we may recommend repairs or replacement if damage is extensive. By using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques, we ensure efficient, thorough cleaning that not only resolves the current clog but helps prevent future blockages. Our expertise and advanced tools make us Boise’s trusted choice for reliable, long-lasting drain repair solutions.

  • Why should I choose trenchless sewer repair for my Boise property?
Trenchless sewer repair is an efficient, minimally invasive option ideal for Boise homeowners looking to preserve their landscaping. Unlike traditional methods, trenchless repair requires only small access points, leaving your yard, driveway, and walkways untouched. This technique is faster and often less expensive, as it reduces the need for labor and extensive restoration work afterward. Our team uses methods such as pipe bursting or cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, which create a new, durable pipe within the damaged one, extending the lifespan of your sewer system by decades. Additionally, trenchless technology is environmentally friendly, as it generates less waste and uses fewer resources. Choosing this approach minimizes disruption to your daily life while providing a reliable, long-lasting solution to sewer issues. For Boise residents, trenchless repair offers a cost-effective, environmentally sound alternative that ensures a safe, functional sewer line without extensive excavation.

  • How does leak detection work, and is it worth it?
Leak detection is a valuable service, especially in Boise, where undetected leaks can lead to significant damage and high water bills. Our team uses advanced techniques like acoustic listening, thermal imaging, and moisture sensors to pinpoint leaks without disrupting your property. Acoustic listening devices detect subtle sound variations in water flow, while thermal imaging identifies temperature differences that often indicate hidden leaks. By locating leaks early, we prevent issues such as mold growth, structural damage, and inflated water costs. Leak detection is highly worthwhile for peace of mind and savings on potential repairs. Addressing leaks proactively also ensures optimal water pressure, improving the efficiency of your entire plumbing system. If you suspect a leak or want preventative maintenance, our detection services offer Boise homeowners a thorough, non-invasive solution that protects both property and wallet.

  • When should I consider replacing my water heater instead of repairing it?
Water heaters typically last 10-15 years, and as they age, they often become less efficient and more prone to issues. Frequent repairs can add up, and newer models offer better energy efficiency, which can lower your utility bills. In Boise’s climate, where water heaters are used year-round, investing in an energy-efficient model could provide long-term savings and reduce environmental impact. Additionally, a new water heater ensures reliable hot water access and fewer disruptions. Our team can help you assess your current system and recommend whether a repair or replacement is more economical. By upgrading, you benefit from enhanced performance, reduced costs, and peace of mind with a new, reliable water heater.

Energy efficiency is another important factor—modern models often use less energy, lowering utility bills and environmental impact. Additionally, consider the installation space and accessibility for future maintenance. An expert plumber can guide you through these choices and ensure you select the best water heater for your needs, balancing cost, efficiency, and regulatory compliance for a seamless installation.

If your water heater is over ten years old and experiencing problems like inconsistent hot water, rust-colored water, or rumbling noises, replacement may be more cost-effective than repair.

  • What are the signs my septic system needs maintenance?
Regular maintenance is crucial for a healthy septic system. Signs your system needs servicing include slow drains, gurgling sounds from pipes, unpleasant odors in your yard, and patches of overly green grass near the drain field. These issues indicate your septic system is struggling to process waste effectively. Ignoring these signs can lead to backups, environmental contamination, and costly repairs. Septic tanks generally require pumping every 3-5 years, but factors like household size and water usage can affect this frequency. Routine maintenance ensures your system functions efficiently and prevents unpleasant surprises. In Boise, where ground conditions vary, proper septic care is especially important to avoid contamination and structural issues. Our team offers comprehensive inspections and cleaning to keep your septic system in top shape. Scheduling regular maintenance helps prevent costly damage and keeps your home’s plumbing functioning smoothly.
